Centennial College - Groundbreaking Ceremony
On October 23, 2009, Centennial College officially announced the groundbreaking for the new Library and Academic Facility at the Progress Campus.
Centennial's future Library and Academic Facility is possible thanks to funding from the Knowledge Infrastructure Program. The provincial government has invested $27.7 million towards the new facility and the federal government has contributed $7.3 million. The facility will be the main entrance for the Progress Campus and will be LEED Gold-certified. It will accommodate Centennial's expanding student population with a full-service library, 22 new classrooms, state-of-the-art lab space, a lecture hall and a bio wall. the 4-storey, learning-centre environment will be open, dynamic and physically-adaptable to accommodate a variety of needs.
