Rouge Valley Ajax-Pickering Emergency Department Sneak Preview
After years of planning, fundraising and construction, the community finally got a preview of the newly-expanded emergency department at Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering (RVAP).
On November 20, the hospital and Foundation hosted a Ribbon Cutting and Reception. Hundreds of politicians, business owners, EMS, police, firefighters, residents, donors, staff and media toured the state-of-the-art facility. The Rouge Valley Health System Foundation thanked all their friends and generous donors for supporting the construction and equipping of their new Emergency Department at RVAP. On November 20 and 21, RVAP celebrated the completion of the first phase of the massive redevelopment project. The new emergency department and the rest of the redevelopment is a great start toward meeting the current needs of our growing west Durham community.
