It’s the last week of February and the weather was perfect for getting outside. Alas, the season for good cross-country skiing conditions in southern Ontario may be coming to an end unless something changes in the long range forecast.

Every New Year’s I try for at least one goal for the coming year. Last year was 52 books and 52 hikes, both of which I managed to achieve. This year, I opted to change things up a little bit. I’m aiming to take (and post) one photo for every day of the year, go on as many hikes as I can, and try to close the 30-minute exercise ring on my Apple Watch as often as possible.
It’s been a busy week, but I still managed to get one shot per day. The weather has started to improve, so I was able to spend a lot more time outside on the ski trails, which meant more iPhone pictures.

In recognition of National Flag Day here in Canada, I hoped to get a picture of a flag waving in the wind.
The forecast this week is starting out pretty normal with temperatures between -5 and -10C for the high. By the weekend, it’s forecasted to be -20C. I’m hoping to get out to the ski trails at least once, but this week may be a good time to try some indoor photography!

I’ve always enjoyed music; whether I was playing an instrument in school, listening to CDs and digital, or slipping a vinyl out of the case, I’ve always enjoyed the rhythms of music.
February gives a bit of hope to winter. The daylight hours are getting longer, the sun seems to be out more, and you know if you just get through these four weeks, things will start to warm up.
